What is the Legacy Challenge?
The Sims 3 Legacy Challenge is a long, 10-generation challenge where you start out with a single founder and very humble beginnings and try to lead the family to fame, fortune and success over the course of 10 generations.
For a full list of legacy rules, click here. The Legacy Challenge was created by the fabulous Simmer by the name of Pinstar; he was also the founder of the Sims 2 Legacy Challenge. This blog documents my attempt to complete this challenge. Please leave comments because I love to read them and they totally inspire me to keep writing! So yes, comments, suggestions and advice are all very much appreiciated! 
My Version
I’ve decided, like almost all other simmers out there, to adapt the challenge slightly to best suit my style of game play:
- I won’t have a family trait (or if I decide to add this later on I’ll make sure the family trait is added as the last trait for each person as I don’t want it to influence their personality too early on.)
- I debated for a long time about whether or not to have a matriarchy or patriarchy heir system… so in the end I decided to leave it open to my readers to decide who should lead the next generation.
